Yak Manufacturing Process
After the milk is obtained from the Yak, the milk is then boiled and stirred continuously. Subsequently, a small amount of lime juice and salt is added into the milk to form a thick layer of solid butter with liquid residue. This solid Yak Dog Chew contains virtually zero lactose as any lactose is left within the liquid residue. Water is removed from the chew using cotton cloth and bamboo sieves, and then cut into the appropriate sizes. These pieces are then dried in an oven under low heat, then cleaned, cut and cleaned again, before finally drying it under the sun.
